Dental Care Parenting
DENTAL CARE PARENTING WORKSHOP
Free Educational Program for Children and Parents
According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Dental Association (ADA), over 40% of children have dental cavities until they enter the community. In addition, more than 1 in 5 children have caries on at least 7 teeth.
Given these worrying figures, but also because we place a special emphasis on prevention of dental diseases, we have been running Dental Care Parenting workshop, free of charge, since 2009.
The event aims at informing the parents about the healthy development of their children, creating a long-term relationship and optimal parent-doctor-child communication, and at accommodating the child with the dental office and the patient role.
For two hours parents are engaged by our specialists in pediatric dentistry in an interactive discussion focused on: prevention, dental treatments on permanent and milk teeth, vicious habits of children, dental braces, the importance of regular professional cleaning in the dental office etc. Meanwhile, the children take part in a playful educational session and learn about keeping their teeth healthy. Children discover the friends and enemies of their teeth, how to keep them shiny and learn the proper techniques of tooth brushing from the Tooth Fairy.
The workshop ends with a complimentary pediatric consultation and a complete dental status along with a set of recommendations for dental care and treatment. According to children’s age, an orthodontist will also check their dental and maxillofacial development. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that every child should be seen by an orthodontist by the age 7.
Everyone is invited. Still, the participant’s number is limited to 15 families.
We are looking forward to meeting you!
Participation is FREE!
The Dental Care Parenting sessions are exclusively dedicated to groups of parents and children. Individual applications are not valid.
